If Enchong is an International Actor...
04.26.2019
Being in the industry for 13 years and counting, it is no doubt that Enchong Dee's caliber when it comes to acting deserves an international recognition. While we still wait for an international movie project for him to happen, I listed 10 international movies (or roles) which I think suits best for Enchong Dee.
01.
The Amazing Spiderman (Peter Parker played Andrew Garfield)
Alright! I made it specific to this movie as based on the comic books, Peter Parker's personality and physical requirements (except the brown hair and hazel eyes) is close enough to Enchong Dee - nerd, unexpectedly funny, tall and lean. That reason alone is more than enough to say that Enchong can play this web-slinging hero. I can see that Enchong will handle the role similar to the way Andrew Garfield did it. Or we never know, maybe Enchong can do Spidey a lot better. Andrew slayed the dramatic parts which are important to the hero's character development. He gave it depth. And without a doubt, Enchong can be as giving as Andrew. Lastly, who would not want to see Enchong in a Spiderman suit? He can definitely rock it!
02.
Constantine (John Constantine played by Keanu Reeves)
How many times Enchong received compliments that he looks like Keanu Reeves?
With all honestly, I included this movie because first, I definitely see the resemblance between him and Keanu; and second, I love this kick-ass movie! Imagine, Enchong playing a demon-hunter, ripping off heads! I hardly see Enchong do an action project so it will be supercool to see the swag that he can give if he is the one who frontline this supernatural action movie.
03.
Se7en (John Doe played by Kevin Spacey)
I am so obsessed to see Enchong play a serial killer so I am including John Doe on the list! Kevin Spacey is beyond amazing in the movie but with all do respect to the Hollywood actor, there is something in Enchong's acting abilities that I think can go head-to-head with Kevin. Shoot! That scene when John Doe surrendered, Enchong Dee can slay that. I'm scared!
04.
A Beautiful Mind (John Nash played by Russell Crowe)
Referencing Enchong's Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) episode where he played Jeck, a reformed drug addict, I cannot contain myself but to see him nailing John Nash in the movie 'A Beautiful Mind'. Enchong will deliver acting excellence especially the scenes where John's schizoprenia progresses - the hallucinations and perceptual disturbances. Enchong will break hearts I'm telling you.
05.
The Theory of Everything (Stephen Hawking played by Eddie Redmayne)
I definitely include this one as I believe Enchong is a big fan of Stephen Hawking. This role is demanding and will push Enchong to get out of his comfort zone. It is physically and emotionally exhausting playing the notable physicist. But I still think this role suits him because it will still involve the kilig that Enchong can give since it is a biological romantic drama and it will tackle the love story of Stephen and Jane until they got divorce and of course during the time when Stephen is going through life with his motor neurone disease. Enchong will surely touch many tender-hearted ones. Personally, this is my dream role for Enchong. I'm so ready to shed tears for this.
06.
Catch Me If You Can (Frank Abagnale Jr. played by Leonardo DiCaprio)
The playful part of Enchong Dee will be useful in this film reason why I included this on the list. I can imagine Enchong doing this one and rooting for him throughout the movie as I can feel that he'll show more wit and cleverness than how Leo did it. But don't get me wrong, Leo played the part so well. It is just that Enchong is the better actor for the role, at least for my taste. The movie never bore its viewers and imagining Enchong playing the lead will make it more fun to watch.
07.
Ninja Assasin (Raizo played by Rain)
Though I know that this is an action movie with a flat story, I still think Enchong suits the role Raizo. Aside from the fact that Enchong's physical features fits the role, it is mainly because I just want to see Enchong do the fight scenes. It involves a lot of blood. It is brutal. Being a great dancer, I believe Enchong can do the fight scenes with so much angst.
08.
Jerry Maguire (Jerry Maguire played by Tom Cruise)
A success story will always fit Enchong Dee. I chose this film because it focuses on the main protagonist, Jerry Maguire who is a sports agent. The success of who he was, the sudden twist of fate leaving him at the bottom and his journey climbing the ladder again and the victory after, all of these were, I must say, Enchong's forte.
09.
Silence of the Lambs (Hannibal Lecter played by Anthony Hopkins)
If Enchong will be of Anthony Hopkins' age, this surely fits him. A brilliant psychiatrist with a psychopath's mind, Hannibal's eyes and body language alone can give you chills. Anthony Hopkins' performance is impeccable and difficult to match, that is for a fact, but Enchong can pull-off a different performance given that he is a great actor. I can imagine how Enchong will torture his audience using his acting chops.
10.
The Passion of the Christ (Jesus Christ played by Jim Caviezel)
I was really hesitant to include this as I know how we, yes we, react when Enchong show off some skin. But if I will limit it to the acting skills needed to play Jesus Christ, oh Enchong is overqualified. Tears will definitely flow in the brutal scourge and the crucifixion.
There you have it. Ten outstanding movies which we think can be played by Enchong Dee. Well, for your good to know, here are some of the movies that didn't make it on our top 10.
