8 Best Enchong Dee Films, Ranked!
4.11.19
With more than a decade in showbiz indusry, it is no doubt that Enchong Dee had become one of the A-list actors of our generation. His solijd improvement leaves supporters and non-supporters in awe of how Enchong, from a naive boy-next-door become an actor who is always ready to show you a piece of well... some stuffs - excellent stuffs!
Ten years and counting, here are 8 of the best Enchong Dee films that we've seen... so far!
8. The Reunion (2012)
This 2012 barkada film should not be ignored. Though it is hard to juggle with four cool-its guys, Enchong was a stand out. Not barely because Lloyd (Enchong's character) was made to be on the frontline but because he stand to the expectation of him being on the frontline. Well, what I wanted to say is that he delivered. That mixture of cuteness and hotness was compensated by his acting skills. Simple yet memorable. Relatable and classy. And that is hard to achieve.
7. Call Center Girl (2013)
The playful part of Enchong's personality again came into play. His comedic chops in his third film way back 2013 only showcased his versatility. He has timing. And it is evident that he had fun doing the film. Honestly, I'm in the middle of smiling because he is really funny and because I'm kilig at the same time.
6. Four Sisters and a Wedding (2013)
This is probably the most popular character that Enchong portrayed. Having all the viral memes of Teddie (Toni Gonzaga) and Bobbie (Bea Alonzo), Rebreb/CJ (Enchong) was never an exception. Well, what's not to like. Everyone delivered an excellent job and Enchong had his fair share. When he is scolding Teddie and the rest of his sisters about the 'happy ending', that is when Enchong truly shined. Galit si Rebreb wag kayong ano.
5. Tuhog (2013)
This underrated trilogy is for keeps. As the impulsive Carlos "Caloy" Sicat, Enchong was able to give that naiveness and sex appeal. What made this Enchong movie a stand-out is the fact that he did not fail to represent the youth which is I think the primary goal of casting him in. He made it all look natural. And in this movie, I came to realize that he is already dead serious about being in the showbiz industry and his will to prove himself as an actor who deserve to be recognized.
4. Nay (2017)
The best part? I don't know if I just really like Enchong crying in front of the camera but the solid performance he gave was when he was crying and blood is coming out of his mouth. It is supposed to give you the chill of a creepy movie but that scene will touch you. For real!
3. I Love You To Death (2016)
Aside from the unexpected tandem of Enchong and Kiray (Celis), the best of Enchong's performance was the fact that he scared the hell out of me. It is a romcom yes but the delivery of the demonic Tonton was on-point. Without all the prosthetics, the possesive look made it all work. If you were able to catch it, good for you. But if not, watch it so you'll know. Honestly, if I will produce a movie about a serial killer, definitely Enchong will be on top of my list.
2. I Do (2010)
Of course, the list will not be complete without a mainstream Enrich movie. Playing as Lance Anderson Tan, he will piss you in this movie. Just when thought that Mayumi Punongbayan (Erich Gonzales) will take the whole movie as most of the time it showed her point of view, there is Enchong taking the spotlight on the last part of the film. He savoured that moment. That scene of him alone made it all worth it. Enchong proves that he is more than just face and abs.
1. Elise (2019)
All of us would definitely agree that this is Enchong's best film to date. With the great reviews it earned, no doubt that it was highly-recommended and goes straight to the classic category. Though masterpiece as they say, it is just sad that not everyone was able to catch it as it made noise when the time that it was already pulled-out of theaters. People who were able to watch understood the hype. It is my first time to find pleasure in pain.
So what do you think? Did your favorite Enchong movie made it on the list?
